Have you heard MAKTKAMP’ new single ‘Autosapiens’ released this Friday? Highly recommend doing this. This Oslo based “politically and musically ruthless” hard rock band with its high energy, melodic guitars, punk attitude and socially critical lyrics has a more than good chance of becoming your new favorite band.

Continuing to move away from hardcore towards hard rock in their sound, on their new single the band is going even heavier and bringing a lot from industrial- and black metal. And the lyrics suitably dark. The chorus line, “Livløst i live” (“Lifelessly alive”), well illustrates the main message of the song about the ugliness of modern reality where the most people live their lives on autopilot “in a lifeless state of conformity”.

‘Autosapiens’ is the second single from the band’ upcoming album ‘Caps Lock Woke Rock’, which will be released on April 21st. The first single, ‘Tastaturkriger’, was released on January 20th. (Highly recommend checking it out as well!) Do you like both songs..? Great news – you can now pre-order the new album as 180 g black vinyl LP at and get an exclusive signed copy on release day!

And more great news – MAKTKAMP are playing the release concert at John Dee in Oslo on May 13th 2023! So get your tickets before it’s sold out!

‘Autosapiens’ as well as the whole album was produced and recorded by the band themselves at Red Line Studio in Oslo, mixed by guitarist Marius Melleby and mastered by Ruben Willem at Caliban Studio.

Kjetil Elverum – vocals
Kristian Leonhardsen – guitar
Marius Melleby – guitar
